David Neu-CEO
David began his career in Material Handling in 1952. He
has held various positions with several companies throughout the United
States and Europe. In 1980, he left the largest conveyor
manufacturer in the US with 3 other material handling professionals to
start their own highly successful material handling systems integration company.
Under
David's leadership, the company grew from $1,000,000 in sales with 4
employees in the early 80's to nearly $100,000,000 and 125 employees in
2000. The culmination being in 2001, when the company was ranked
by Inc Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies.
He is active with The Epilepsy Foundation, Salvation Army and The Mel Trotter Mission.
David started D.L. Neu & Associates in 2002.
Phil Schaafsma-President
Phil
began his material handling career in 1985. He started as an
applications engineer then a mechanical systems engineer before
moving to Siemens Dematic in 1988. He held similar positions with
Siemens before being promoted to Program Manager of Development and
then Operations Manager.
In
1999, Phil left Siemens and became Operations Manager at one of the
largest and most successful systems integrators in the country. He
was eventually promoted to Vice President and elected to the Board of
Directors in 2001. In 2001, he was promoted to Vice President of
Sales & Marketing. During his Material Handling career, he has worked throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
Phil is also active in The American Heart Association, The Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan, The Red Cross and Lainies Angels.
